About Me

Hello, my name is Cindy. I love anything creative and hands-on. This includes being a mechanical engineer, cook, food stylist, and artist (we’ll see how that goes, ha!).

I have been a mechanical engineer for 6 years and moved to NYC from Southern CA two and a half years ago. Since then, I have gone to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park for a year (experiences I will put in writing in later posts) to study Culinary Arts as another passion of mine.

I moved around a lot while growing up and have still yet to figure out who I really am. No matter where I’ve been, food and imagination have always played a big role every step of the way – through starvation, loneliness, happiness, nostalgia, and much much more. This is where I want to document how I became what I am now from the beginning, and show how food has shaped my story. In many ways, the act of eating (or not eating) is how my memories are pieced together.
